KINGSTON SERVER PREMIER · 16 GB DDR4 RDIMM
KSM32RS8/16HD is a single 16 GB Server Premier DDR4 module with registered ECC operation, 3200 MT/s JEDEC settings and a defined Hynix D-die organisation. Its server-class electrical format and DRAM density matter as much as the capacity: match the complete part to the system before an upgrade.
DEFINED ORGANISATION
This Server Premier part is a 1Rx8 module built around nine 2G × 8-bit Hynix D-die DRAM components. Its 72-bit organisation includes the ECC data path. A single module is supplied; rank describes its internal organisation and does not promise a particular system memory-channel configuration.
REGISTERED ECC
This is registered DDR4 with parity, rather than an ordinary unbuffered desktop DIMM. The module supports ECC error correction and detection, command/address parity and write CRC. Those functions depend on a compatible processor, motherboard and firmware; an ECC label alone does not turn an unsupported system into an ECC platform.
DENSITY AND POPULATION
The exact design uses 16 Gbit DRAM devices. Kingston flags a platform limitation for these 16 Gbit-based Server Premier alternatives: Intel use is limited to newer processor series. Confirm the server vendor’s support for the exact module, DRAM density, ranks and slot population. Do not select it solely because another DDR4 RDIMM has the same 16 GB capacity.
JEDEC SETTINGS
The SPD carries DDR4-3200 CL22-22-22 settings at 1.2 V. Actual system operation depends on the memory controller, firmware and installed DIMM population. The module includes on-die termination and a temperature sensor integrated with SPD; the published operating range is not a substitute for suitable system airflow.
FIT AND SUPPORT
The 288-pin board reference is 133.35 mm long and 31.25 mm high. The existing photograph illustrates the bare-DIMM design rather than proving a particular installed component lot. Kingston’s product-lifetime limited warranty is subject to its original-customer, proof-of-purchase, identification and other terms; it is not a guarantee of permanent system support.
