An RDIMM is a specific server-memory choice.
Confirm that the server or workstation supports DDR5 registered ECC DIMMs, this module capacity and its rank/device organisation. Use the system’s supported-memory list and population rules. This module is not a substitute for a desktop DDR5 UDIMM simply because both use 288 contacts.
Known timing and components
Micron H-die with a JEDEC 6400 profile.
The exact module uses twenty 2G ×8-bit components and a 4G ×80-bit module organisation. Kingston programmes the SPD for 52-52-52 at 1.1 V. The CPU memory controller, platform firmware and populated slots determine whether the system runs at 6400 MT/s or a supported lower rate.
Two levels of correction
System ECC and DRAM on-die ECC are distinct.
This registered module provides an x80 ECC organisation split into two independent x40 I/O subchannels. It also has on-die ECC within the DRAM. System-level error correction still depends on a compatible platform and enabled support; on-die ECC alone is not a replacement for that complete ECC path.
