We stay small on purpose, so the person who takes your call is usually the person who’ll work on your kit. We’re here to make tech feel less stressful, whether you’re a home user with a slow laptop or a business that needs the whole office wired up properly.

Our story

Small shop. Big workshop. Real humans.

MatzoTech was established in 2020 in Strand, Cape Town, to give the Helderberg and the rest of South Africa a properly hands-on tech option — a real shop you can walk into, a real workshop where laptops get fixed, and a real team that picks up the phone.

The name comes from the word matzo — unleavened bread — a symbol of humility and freedom. It’s there as a daily reminder for us to stay grounded, work honestly, and treat every customer’s device and budget with care. Leaven puffs things up; matzo keeps them simple. We try to keep our quotes, our explanations, and our promises the same way.

What started as a single storefront has grown into a full IT services arm — repairs, SLAs, custom installs, networking, CCTV, VOIP and a fully stocked online shop — while staying recognisably the same friendly team.
