Hikvision • DS-3E1105P-EI
Four powered camera links, one compact switch.
DS-3E1105P-EI brings four Fast Ethernet PoE camera connections together with a separate Fast Ethernet uplink. A 60W shared power budget and 30W per-port ceiling make power planning part of the network design, while smart management provides visibility into links and device health.

Camera connections
Plan for a Fast Ethernet uplink.
Four 10/100Mbps RJ45 PoE ports connect compatible cameras or other supported powered devices. A fifth 10/100Mbps RJ45 port serves the uplink. The 1Gbps switching-capacity rating describes the internal switching fabric; it does not turn that uplink into Gigabit Ethernet. Keep the combined camera streams within the available uplink bandwidth.
PoE allocation
Share 60W across the powered ports.
Ports 1–4 support IEEE 802.3af/at with a maximum 30W output ceiling per port. The 60W aggregate budget is shared: four 30W loads cannot all be supplied at once. Include cable loss and each endpoint’s peak draw in the plan, rather than relying only on its idle consumption. The specified external power input is 48VDC/1.35A for this model’s legacy specification.
Surveillance priorities
Keep important links in the first two positions.
Ports 1 and 2 have high forwarding priority when bandwidth is constrained. Standard and Extend operating modes support different cable-run requirements. Hikvision specifies camera links up to 300m in Extend mode, subject to compatible endpoints, cabling and power conditions; this is a special operating mode rather than a 300m guarantee at full 100Mbps.
Network visibility
See the links as a system.
Smart-management functions include topology display, network health monitoring, device-status alarms, port-rate statistics and remote maintenance. The manufacturer also lists 802.1Q VLAN, PoE watchdog, STP/RSTP loop prevention and cable detection for its 2024 DS-3E1105P-EI specification. Confirm the hardware revision and installed firmware support the functions needed for the site before relying on an advanced management workflow.
Placement and protection
A fan-free metal enclosure for the equipment area.
The legacy model specification lists a 105 ×83.1 ×27.6mm metal enclosure and a 0.22kg net weight, with operation at 0–40°C and 5–95% noncondensing humidity. PoE ports carry a 6kV surge-protection rating. Correct cabling, grounding and site protection remain necessary; a surge rating is not immunity from lightning or a weatherproof enclosure rating.
