Kingston DC600M • 1.92 TB • Enterprise SATA
Mixed-use storage with hardware power-loss protection.
The 1.92 TB Kingston DC600M combines 3D TLC flash, a DRAM cache and hardware power-loss protection in a 7 mm, 2.5-inch SATA drive. Designed for mixed read/write server workloads, it brings a defined enterprise endurance rating and drive-health monitoring to compatible SATA storage systems.

Mixed-use storage
A SATA drive for read-and-write workloads.
DC600M is designed for mixed-use data-centre and server workloads. This SEDC600M/1920G model provides 1920 GB of nominal capacity using 3D TLC NAND and a DRAM cache. Formatting, firmware and other reserved functions reduce the space available for files. Select it for a compatible SATA system with a suitable drive bay, controller and power connection.

Performance
Read the figures in their workload context.
Kingston rates the 1.92 TB drive at up to 560 MB/s sequential reads and 530 MB/s sequential writes, with steady-state 4 KB random ratings of 94,000 read IOPS and 78,000 write IOPS. These are manufacturer test figures, not a promise of application throughput. The host controller, connection speed, access pattern and surrounding system can affect results.

Endurance
A five-year basis for write planning.
The 1.92 TB model is rated for 3504 TB written and one drive write per day over five years. Kingston derives TBW and DWPD from the JEDEC enterprise workload, JESD219A. Use that workload basis when comparing drives and estimating write demand; the endurance specification does not mean that every application writes data in the same way.

Power-loss protection
Protection at the drive does not replace a backup.
Hardware-based power-loss protection is built into DC600M. The drive also supports static and dynamic wear levelling and enterprise SMART monitoring for usage, remaining life, temperature and reliability information. These features support storage operations, while a separate backup and recovery plan remains necessary for the wider system.
Security and management
Choose the correct security variant.
This is DC600M, which Kingston specifies without hardware encryption. AES-256 and TCG Opal 2.0 belong to the separate DC600ME variant. Kingston SSD Manager provides a way to inspect supported drive-health information and the wear indicator used by the warranty. Select documentation and software for the exact model and check the current operating-system requirements before use.
Installation and environment
A compact SATA form factor with defined limits.
The enclosure measures 69.9 × 100 × 7 mm and weighs 92.34 g. SATA Revision 3.0 provides a 6 Gb/s interface and is backward compatible with SATA Revision 2.0 at 3 Gb/s. Kingston lists hot-plug capability, but safe hot-plug operation also requires support from the host, controller, bay and operating system. The drive’s operating temperature range is 0–70°C.
Warranty and reliability
Time and wear both matter.
The limited five-year SSD warranty ends at the earlier of five years from the original end-user purchase or the SATA SMART attribute 231 wear indicator reaching a normalised value of one, as reported by Kingston SSD Manager. Kingston also lists a two-million-hour MTBF figure; this is a statistical reliability measure, not a guaranteed lifespan for an individual drive. Keep purchase records and monitor drive health as part of normal maintenance.
