Ubiquiti • airMAX NanoStation 5AC Loco
A compact radio for a planned wireless link.
NanoStation 5AC Loco combines a 5GHz airMAX AC radio and 13dBi directional antenna in one 180g enclosure. It provides a Gigabit Ethernet connection, pole-mount hardware and a dedicated management radio for setup. A compatible 24V passive-PoE power supply is required and is not included.

Link design first
Connect sites with compatible airMAX equipment.
Use the radio as an access point or station in a compatible airMAX AC design. A point-to-point link needs equipment at both ends; a client installation must match its access point. Plan clear line of sight, alignment, channel width and the local radio environment. A single radio is not a complete wireless bridge.
Radio and antenna together
Focus the connection where it belongs.
The integrated dual-linear antenna has 13dBi gain and a 45° beamwidth in the listed planes. The 5GHz operating range is 5150–5875MHz for the worldwide specification, with available channels and transmit power governed by the selected country and local rules. The separate 2.4GHz radio serves management rather than a general-purpose client Wi-Fi promise.
Power with the right standard
24V passive PoE is a specific requirement.
The Gigabit Ethernet port accepts two-pair passive PoE on pins 4/5 positive and 7/8 return, with a supported 22–27V DC input range. Use a compatible 24V, 0.3A Gigabit PoE supply. It is sold separately. Do not assume a standard 802.3af/at PoE switch can power this model directly.
Configure and monitor
Management stays close to the link.
airOS and the dedicated management radio support setup and status access, while the current product is UISP-ready. The platform supports bridge/routing functions and reporting for signal, link rate and errors. Select firmware for the exact Loco5AC model and follow its installation instructions.
A small outdoor footprint
Mount deliberately. Leave the cable path protected.
The UV-stabilized enclosure measures 179 × 77.5 × 59.1mm and includes pole-mount hardware. Its operating range is −40°C to 70°C with non-condensing humidity. Use the manufacturer’s installation guidance for mounting, cabling and grounding; these environmental ratings do not make an unprotected cable connection weatherproof.
