Keychron C3 Pro 8K • C3PX-H1
A compact layout with control beneath every key.
This black C3 Pro 8K combines an 80% ANSI layout with wired USB-C, RGB lighting and Keychron Super Red switches. Its hot-swap sockets, gasket-mounted assembly and QMK-based customisation give you a keyboard that can change in both feel and function without taking over the desk.

Polling with a choice
Set the reporting rate for the host.
Keychron Launcher lets you select 1000, 4000 or 8000Hz polling over the wired connection. At the 8000Hz setting, the nominal report interval is 0.125ms; that interval describes USB reporting, not complete key-to-screen latency. Choose a setting that suits the computer and software rather than treating the highest number as a guaranteed gaming result.
The supplied switches
A light linear action.
C3PX-H1 is the RGB hot-swappable version supplied with Keychron Super Red mechanical switches. These factory-lubed linear switches are specified at 45 ± 15gf operating force, 2.0 ± 0.4mm pre-travel and 4.0 ± 0.4mm total travel. The manufacturer’s switch endurance rating is up to 50 million cycles; it is a component rating, not a promise of years of use.
Customise the hardware
Change the feel without soldering.
The hot-swap PCB supports most normal-profile 3-pin and 5-pin MX-style mechanical switches. Align the pins and use the correct removal tools when experimenting; magnetic, optical and low-profile switch systems are different. Cherry-profile double-shot PBT shine-through keycaps sit above north-facing RGB LEDs, with sidelights extending the lighting around the board.
Structure and sound
Cushion the assembly. Keep the controls familiar.
The ABS body houses a gasket-mounted typing assembly, plate-mounted stabilisers and acoustic layers including 3.5mm EVA foam, IXPE film, EPDM foam and a silicone pad. The TKL layout keeps the function row, navigation block and arrows while omitting the number pad. Sound and feel still depend on switches, keycaps and typing style.
QMK and Launcher
Build shortcuts around your work.
Use the official Keychron Launcher with a supported Chrome, Edge or Opera browser to remap keys, create macros and adjust supported settings. The keyboard uses open-source QMK firmware and supports Windows and macOS layouts, with corresponding extra keycaps. Fn + Caps Lock switches the system layout. Follow the exact C3 Pro 8K guide before resetting or changing firmware; the original C3 Pro is a different model.
Fit and connection
A wired foundation, with room to adjust.
A detachable USB-C connection keeps the board wired, and the supplied Type-A adapter provides another host connection option. The case footprint is 364.6 × 137.8mm, with adjustable typing angles of 4°, 6° and 8.7°. Front and rear case heights are 20.6mm and 29.9mm without keycaps, so allow additional clearance for the complete key profile.
