Dell WL5024 • 520-BBGM
Move between calls and music with an on-ear headset built around a discreet left-side microphone, hybrid active noise cancellation and Bluetooth 5.3. The Dell WL5024 combines 40mm drivers with a USB-C wireless audio receiver, so the same headset can serve a computer and a paired mobile device.
Two sides of the call
Hybrid ANC uses microphones inside and outside the earcups to reduce surrounding sound for the listener. AI up-link noise cancellation works separately on the microphone signal sent to other participants. The 40mm drivers cover music and calls, while transparency mode lets more of the room back in when needed.
A discreet microphone
The single-sided left boom folds away between calls. Lower it to unmute and raise it to mute; an earcup mute button and double-sided busy lights give further control and a visible call indication. The adjustable leatherette headband and memory-foam cushions support the compact on-ear fit.
Computer and mobile
Use the included USB-C wireless audio receiver with the computer, or its USB-A adapter for a USB-A port. Bluetooth 5.3 supports a memory of up to eight paired devices and two simultaneous connections. The supplied USB-C cable provides charging, while wireless audio connects through Bluetooth or the receiver. Wireless range is up to 30m in suitable conditions.
Battery settings matter
Dell rates listening at up to 78 hours with ANC and the busy light off, or up to 50 hours with ANC on and the busy light off. Talk time is up to 34 hours with ANC and the busy light off, or up to 20 hours with both on. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours. Actual results depend on use, volume, environment and settings.
Quick top-ups
The included 1.5m USB-C to USB-C cable connects to a suitable USB power source. Dell’s revised datasheet rates a 15-minute charge for approximately 12 hours of listening with ANC and the busy light off. The HC524 charging stand is sold separately, as are replacement HE524 ear cushions.
Calls and personal settings
Microsoft Teams Open Office and Zoom certification complement physical call, volume, ANC and Teams buttons. Wear detection can mute the microphone and pause audio when the headset is removed. Dell Display and Peripheral Manager on supported Windows systems and the Dell Audio mobile app offer additional settings; features and call-button behaviour depend on the platform and application.
