Give decorative prints a silky finish with Black/Purple PLA Silk Dual. This 1kg spool pairs two colours for a layered appearance that changes with the viewing angle, bringing a distinctive finish to figurines, artwork and display pieces.
Finish with intention
Temperature and speed influence the surface lustre. Work within the recommended nozzle range and tune a small test print before committing to the final piece. The colour effect depends on geometry, orientation and lighting rather than a fixed colour-transition schedule.
Prepare the material
Anycubic recommends drying at 55–65°C for 6–8 hours and using a nozzle of at least 0.4mm. The published speed range is 50–250mm/s, subject to the printer, hotend and part; it is not a guarantee that every shape will print at the top speed.
Use the right setup
Use a compatible 1.75mm FDM printer configured for silk PLA. Intelligent identification is available on supported Anycubic equipment; the manufacturer requires an internet connection and compatible tagged filament for that feature. It is not required for ordinary filament printing.
Understand the material
The technical data describes printed samples with different X-Y and Z test orientations. Treat those figures as comparisons, rather than a finished-part design rating. The listed 53°C heat-deflection result at 0.45MPa also makes thermal suitability a separate consideration from appearance.
