Antec Atom V550 · Fixed-cable desktop PSU
Plan the power. Count the connectors.
The Atom V550 is a non-modular desktop power supply listed at 550 W, with a 120 mm cooling fan and fixed connections for the motherboard, processor, graphics card and drives. Choosing it starts with the complete PC’s requirements—not just the wattage printed on the box. Confirm the supplied unit’s label, connector layout and chassis fit before finalising a build.

A complete power plan
Look beyond one wattage number.
The existing rail reference includes +12 V at 42 A alongside separate +3.3 V, +5 V, −12 V and standby outputs. Rail current limits cannot simply be added together to exceed the listed 550 W total. Include the CPU, graphics card, drives and transient requirements when assessing a complete configuration.
Fixed-cable practicality
Check every connection before building.
The listing specifies one motherboard connector, one 4+4-pin CPU connector and two 6+2-pin PCIe connectors, plus SATA and legacy peripheral connections. These are connector counts, not proof of independent cable runs. Match the GPU maker’s power requirements and allow enough space for permanently attached cables.
Confirm the exact supplied revision, output label, mains input and connector layout before use. The 550 W rating is output capacity, not constant electricity consumption or a complete-system compatibility guarantee. Chassis depth and cable clearance must be checked separately.
