For South African crafters, DIY enthusiasts, small businesses, and creative professionals, the Cricut Premium Vinyl Permanent Colour Change Cold Blue is an exciting addition to any crafting collection.

This is more than just permanent adhesive vinyl; it is a creative material designed to make personalised projects interactive and visually impressive. Its temperature-sensitive technology allows your designs to change colour when exposed to cold surfaces or chilled beverages, creating a unique effect that captures attention.

Whether you are personalising drinking glasses, decorating mugs, creating customised bottles, or designing unique gifts, this innovative vinyl offers an exciting way to make everyday items stand out. The combination of permanent adhesive, a glossy finish, and temperature-responsive colour technology makes it an excellent choice for creative projects that go beyond traditional vinyl applications.

Innovative cold-activated colour-changing technology

The standout feature of the Cricut Premium Vinyl Permanent Colour Change Cold Blue is its ability to change colour when exposed to low temperatures.

When the vinyl comes into contact with a surface below 10°C (50°F), its original Light Blue appearance transforms into Turquoise. Once the material returns to temperatures above the activation threshold, it returns to its original colour.

This temperature-responsive effect creates exciting possibilities for personalised drinkware, decorative glassware, and interactive craft projects.

Imagine applying a custom design to your favourite drinking glass and watching it transform as you add an ice-cold beverage. The colour-changing effect adds an extra layer of creativity and personality to everyday accessories.

The technology is designed to change colour repeatedly, making it an entertaining and practical material for projects that benefit from interactive visual effects.

Premium permanent adhesion for lasting designs

Creating personalised products requires materials that adhere reliably to suitable surfaces.

Cricut Premium Vinyl Permanent Colour Change features a permanent adhesive designed to provide dependable application and a secure finish.

This makes it suitable for decorating a variety of compatible smooth surfaces, including glass, drinkware, and other suitable accessories.

Its permanent adhesive helps keep your designs in position during normal use, while the temperature-sensitive vinyl adds an exciting visual element.

Although the adhesive is permanent, Cricut recommends hand washing finished items rather than using a dishwasher. This helps preserve the material and its colour-changing properties.

For best results, ensure the application surface is clean, dry, and free from dust or oils before applying your design.

Smooth cutting and effortless weeding

Achieving clean, professional-looking designs is essential for successful vinyl crafting.

Cricut Colour Change Permanent Vinyl is engineered to lie flat on your cutting mat without unnecessary tunnelling or bubbling, helping deliver consistent cutting results.

Its smooth construction allows compatible Cricut cutting machines to produce detailed lettering, decorative shapes, custom graphics, and intricate designs.

Once cutting is complete, unwanted vinyl can be removed easily through the weeding process, leaving your finished design ready for application.

Even detailed designs can be separated from the backing material for convenient transfer.

Whether you are creating simple personalised lettering or more elaborate decorative patterns, Cricut makes the cutting and preparation process straightforward.

Versatile applications for personalised drinkware and accessories

The Cricut Premium Vinyl Permanent Colour Change Cold Blue offers exciting creative possibilities for a wide variety of projects.

Its temperature-sensitive technology makes it particularly suitable for personalised drinkware, where the colour-changing effect can be enjoyed whenever cold beverages are introduced.

Create customised drinking glasses, decorate suitable mugs, personalise water bottles, or add unique designs to decorative accessories.

It is also ideal for creating personalised gifts, custom labels, decorative household items, and unique DIY projects.

For small businesses and creative professionals, this vinyl provides an opportunity to develop distinctive customised products that stand out from conventional personalised merchandise.

Whether you are creating gifts for friends and family or producing products for customers, the colour-changing effect adds an innovative finishing touch.

Compatible with Cricut cutting machines

Designed for the Cricut crafting ecosystem, Premium Vinyl Permanent Colour Change integrates easily into your existing cutting workflow.

The material is compatible with Cricut cutting machines, including the Cricut Maker and Cricut Explore series.

Using Cricut Design Space, you can create or upload custom designs, select the appropriate material setting, and prepare your project for cutting.

Once cutting is complete, remove the unwanted vinyl using a weeding tool and apply Cricut Transfer Tape to help position your finished design accurately.

The straightforward process makes it suitable for beginners exploring personalised crafting as well as experienced users producing detailed custom projects.
