QNAP • TS-432XeU-4G
Four bays. A shallower rack footprint.
Bring shared storage into a compact network cabinet. The TS-432XeU-4G combines four SATA drive bays, a quad-core 1.7GHz ARM processor and 4GB of DDR4 memory with one 10GbE SFP+ connection and two 2.5GbE network ports—all in a short-depth 1U chassis.

Plan the cabinet
Short chassis. Room to plan the cabling.
The chassis measures 292.12mm deep, excluding the rack ears and protruding power-supply section. Its 43.3mm height occupies 1U. Allow additional space for rear cabling, ventilation and your mounting arrangement; check rack and rail compatibility before installation.
Build the storage
Four front bays for your drive plan.
The four SATA bays accept compatible 3.5-inch hard drives or 2.5-inch SATA SSDs. Choose exact drive models from QNAP’s compatibility list and size usable capacity around your RAID layout. No drive capacity is specified for this listing; confirm any drive bundle before purchase.
Choose the network path
SFP+ and copper, side by side.
Use the 10GbE SFP+ port with a compatible transceiver or direct-attach cable, or connect through either 2.5GbE RJ45 port. The copper ports also support 1GbE and 100Mb/s. Link rates are interface capabilities; real file transfers depend on drives, RAID, clients and the network. Optical modules and SFP+ cables are optional accessories.
Know the memory limit
One slot. A clear upgrade route.
The Alpine ARM platform has 4GB of non-ECC DDR4 memory and one SO-DIMM slot. Reaching the 16GB maximum requires replacing the installed module with a compatible 16GB QNAP module. The limit is 16GB total, not an extra 16GB beside the original memory.
Organise and protect
Shared files with a separate backup plan.
QTS provides shared storage, snapshots and backup applications. The four-bay RAID choices include RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and 10, as well as single drives and JBOD. RAID redundancy and snapshots do not replace a separate backup: keep another copy away from this NAS and test restoration. Features and applications depend on the installed QTS release and configuration.
Connect and maintain
External storage without an internal rebuild.
Four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports provide 5Gb/s interfaces for compatible external storage and backup workflows. Supported USB expansion enclosures are separate purchases. Use the exact-model Download Center for firmware, manuals and utilities; choose the correct model and client operating system. No firmware version is promised as preinstalled or latest.
