Hikvision • AcuSense • 32-channel DVR
Keep the camera network in view.
Bring a large analogue camera installation into one recording workflow. The Hikvision iDS-7232HQHI-M2/XT combines 32 BNC inputs, adaptive video-format support and IP-camera expansion with two SATA drive interfaces. AcuSense human and vehicle analysis, HDTVI two-way audio and flexible display outputs help shape a system around the site’s cameras and monitoring needs.

Hybrid recording
Keep existing cameras in the plan.
Adaptive HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS and IP input support provides options for a mixed installation. The recorder has 32 analogue BNC inputs plus eight IP inputs, expandable to a maximum of 40 IP channels as analogue channels are reassigned. IP cameras are supported up to 6MP per channel; the expanded IP count is not 40 additional channels alongside 32 analogue cameras.
Event review
Give the search a useful starting point.
Motion Detection 2.0 classifies people and vehicles across the analogue channels. The PowerX feature set includes AcuSearch, up to four-channel face capture/comparison and advanced perimeter protection. The 32-channel PowerX feature set supports up to 16 perimeter channels and 32-channel AcuSearch. Check installed firmware, selected smart modes and channel allocation before committing an analytics design; the maximum functions are not an unconditional simultaneous-processing promise.
Recording detail
Match resolution with its frame rate.
H.265 Pro+, H.265 Pro, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 provide compression choices. Encoding supports 3K Lite or 5MP Lite at up to 12fps, with full 1080p recording listed at 15fps. Lite modes have their own rates and resolutions. A 4K HDMI monitoring output does not turn this into a 4K analogue recording platform, and an accepted camera input format is distinct from the stored recording format.
Sound and monitoring
Connect the viewing and conversation points.
The HDMI output supports up to 3840 × 2160 at 30Hz, with VGA and composite video outputs also available. HDMI and VGA support simultaneous output. HDTVI two-way audio requires compatible cameras and configuration; the separate RCA two-way audio function uses the audio-input connection. Check microphone, speaker and camera requirements when planning each audio path.
Storage and network
Size the archive around the recording plan.
Two SATA interfaces accept supported drives up to 12TB each. Required retention depends on active channels, resolution, frame rate, bitrate and recording schedule; no fixed number of days follows from drive capacity alone. Gigabit Ethernet, 256Mbps total bandwidth and support for up to 128 remote connections provide the network framework. Drives, cameras, displays and installation accessories should be specified separately.
Installation
Leave space for the recorder to work.
The 1U enclosure measures 384 × 313 × 52mm and uses a 12V DC, 5A supply. Front USB 2.0, two rear USB 3.0 ports and an RS-485 interface support local operation and integration. Allow room for cabling, ventilation and service access, and confirm supplied power accessories and compatible surveillance drives before installation.
