Ubiquiti UniFi • UDM-PRO-EU
A considered centre for the connected rack.
Dream Machine Pro brings the gateway, UniFi application host and local video-recording expansion into one 1U appliance. Eight Gigabit LAN ports handle wired connections, while dedicated SFP+ interfaces provide a 10G path for the internet uplink and the wider switching network.

Connections with distinct roles
Build the uplinks around the traffic.
The default layout gives you eight 10/100/1000 RJ45 LAN ports, one Gigabit RJ45 internet port, one 1/10G SFP+ internet port and one 1/10G SFP+ LAN port. Use compatible transceivers or direct-attach cables for the intended link. A 10G interface rate describes the physical connection; it does not promise 10Gbps through every routed or inspected traffic path.

Gateway and security
See the network. Shape the access.
UniFi Network brings centralised device management together with stateful firewalling, VLAN/subnet segmentation, traffic identification, QoS and an integrated RADIUS server. Ubiquiti rates IDS/IPS throughput at 3.5Gbps, measured with iPerf3. The active security services, packet mix, connected applications and network configuration affect real deployment performance.
Applications in one place
A local home for the UniFi suite.
The console supports Network, Protect, Access, Talk and Connect. Ubiquiti’s planning figures include more than 100 managed UniFi devices and more than 1,000 connected users. Treat these as deployment guidance rather than simultaneous guarantees: application mix and workload matter. Wireless access points, cameras, door equipment and other endpoints are separate purchases.
Recording expansion
Add storage to match the cameras.
The front drive bay accepts a 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch HDD for UniFi Protect recording; a hard drive is not included. The built-in 16GB eMMC is system storage, not a supplied surveillance recording disk. Plan drive capacity and retention around camera count, resolution, frame rate and recording settings. Power down and unplug the console before installing or removing a drive.
Rack and power
Leave room for the complete installation.
The aluminium-and-steel chassis occupies 1U in a standard 19-inch rack and measures 442.4mm wide, 43.7mm high and 285.6mm deep. The internal 50W supply accepts 100–240V AC at 50/60Hz; maximum appliance consumption is 33W. A separate USP-RPS system can provide DC power backup. Use a UPS where continuity matters, and provide suitable separate PoE equipment for powered access points and cameras.
Management and ownership
Set up clearly. Keep the configuration maintainable.
Manage through Ethernet or supported Bluetooth-assisted setup, with a 1.3-inch touchscreen and link, activity and storage indicators at the rack. The quick-start guide supports setup from the UniFi mobile app on iOS or Android, or a supported browser. Keep configuration backups and follow the console’s official update workflow. The EU regional SKU includes a mains cord; confirm the supplied plug suits the installation before connection.
