FSP • U530-BS • Silent E-ATX tower
An understated home for a substantial build.
The black U530-BS pairs a solid-panel exterior with sound-dampening material and four installed 120 mm fans. It supports EEB through Mini-ITX motherboard formats, graphics cards up to 375 mm and CPU air coolers up to 175 mm, with front and top 360 mm radiator options. Plan the radiator, graphics card, drive mounts and cable space as a complete layout.

Quiet design
Control noise through the enclosure.
FSP lines four sides with high-density sound-dampening material and uses 0.7 mm SPCC steel panels. The solid black exterior keeps the system visually restrained. These construction choices are intended to reduce noise; actual sound and component temperatures depend on the fans, load, hardware and installation rather than a guaranteed silent result.
Included airflow
Three front fans and one rear fan.
Four 120 mm fans are included: three at the front with fan shrouds and one at the rear. The shrouds guide airflow through the enclosure. Additional fans and liquid-cooling hardware are optional, so plan those separately for the intended build.
Liquid cooling
Make room for the radiator and the hardware around it.
FSP lists 360 mm radiator support at the front and top, plus 120/140 mm rear cooling support. Front fan positions accept three 120/140 mm units; the top accepts three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans. Radiator size names describe mounting compatibility, not every assembly’s available thickness. Check fan/radiator thickness, motherboard heatsinks and front-to-GPU clearance before selecting parts.
Hardware and power
Measure the whole component envelope.
EEB, E-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX boards are listed, with seven expansion slots. GPU clearance is up to 375 mm with the supplied graphics-card holder, and CPU cooler clearance is 175 mm. FSP specifies an ATX PSU up to 230 mm. Allow for power-connector bends, radiator intrusion, drive layout and cable routing when combining the largest parts.
Storage choices
Plan shared drive positions.
FSP lists three 3.5-inch HDD mounts that share positions with SSD storage and a 2.5-inch SSD entry of 4+1. Those figures should not be added together as a guaranteed simultaneous drive count. Choose the drive arrangement alongside the power supply and front cooling so that the cage, connections and cables remain accessible.
Desk and connections
Keep daily access at the front.
Two USB 3.0 ports and one USB Type-C port provide front access for supported devices. Connect them to the appropriate motherboard headers; the manufacturer does not specify a Type-C data-rate guarantee here. At 473 mm deep, 230 mm wide and 490 mm high, with an 8.88 kg chassis weight, this is a case to measure into the workspace before assembly.
