MacBook Air M2 • Starlight • MC7W4ZE/A
This Starlight MacBook Air pairs Apple M2 with 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD in a slim, fanless aluminium enclosure. Its 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, backlit Magic Keyboard and MagSafe charging make it a considered companion for documents, calls and creative projects. This is the eight-core CPU, eight-core GPU configuration.
Design
The flat aluminium enclosure measures 304.1 × 215mm and is 11.3mm thick. At a nominal 1.24kg, it fits neatly into a mobile working routine. The fanless design removes fan noise; the Starlight finish gives this configuration its warm, understated appearance.
Display
The 13.6-inch LED-backlit IPS panel combines 2560 × 1664 resolution with 500-nit brightness, wide P3 colour and True Tone. The rounded upper corners mean the viewable area is slightly smaller than the rectangular diagonal measurement. This is a Liquid Retina display, not a touch screen.
M2 performance
M2 combines four performance CPU cores and four efficiency cores with an eight-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. Its media engine accelerates supported H.264, HEVC, ProRes and ProRes RAW workflows. Applications must support those capabilities; no particular render time or benchmark result is promised.
Memory and storage
The supplied 16GB unified memory is shared by the chip’s processing engines, with 100GB/s memory bandwidth. A 256GB SSD holds macOS, applications and local files; formatted capacity is lower. Treat memory and internal storage as fixed purchase-time capacities, with no user-accessible RAM or SSD expansion slots. Apple’s larger factory configurations are separate purchase options.
Connections
MagSafe 3 provides a dedicated charging connection, leaving both Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports available for compatible accessories. Each USB-C port supports charging and DisplayPort, Thunderbolt 3 and USB 4 at up to 40Gb/s. The model supports one external display up to 6K at 60Hz alongside its built-in screen. HDMI, VGA, DVI and Thunderbolt 2 need suitable adapters sold separately.
Calls and interaction
A 1080p FaceTime HD camera, three-microphone array and four-speaker sound system support meetings and media. The backlit Magic Keyboard includes Touch ID, while the Force Touch trackpad supports pressure-sensitive clicks and Multi-Touch gestures. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connect to compatible networks and peripherals. Confirm the supplied keyboard layout where particular legends are essential.
Battery and charging
The 52.6Wh lithium-polymer battery sits inside the slim enclosure. This offer lists a 30W USB-C power adapter and a USB-C to MagSafe 3 cable, matching Apple’s eight-core GPU package. Charging is also supported through USB-C. Higher-power charging requires a suitable separately purchased adapter; actual runtime depends on applications, display settings and conditions.
macOS and support
The catalogue lists macOS Sequoia; the installed version can vary with stock and setup. Use the Mac’s Software Update feature and exact model support resources to select compatible updates. The offer lists a 12-month warranty validated by serial number; confirm local coverage and purchase-date entitlement for the supplied unit. Accessibility tools support vision, hearing, mobility and learning needs.
